Check out this water clock. So besides reading Tintin comics in the library, the other kind of books I looked for were about inventions. This clock can be modified with any other recycled material, in particular if you can get your hands on a toy wheel (I used a lego wheel in my childhood version), the rotation of the clock could be smoother.
